About the Club

The Gem, Mineral and Lapidary Society of Central Louisiana — known online as the Cenla Rockhounds — brings together collectors, lapidary artists, and earth science enthusiasts from the Alexandria and Pineville area. The club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Rapides Parish Library's Westside Branch, taking a break in July. Members enjoy access to the diverse geology of central Louisiana and the surrounding region, with activities ranging from field collecting to lapidary craft.
